Choosing the right Sandals Resort can feel overwhelming especially when you have been dreaming about this escape for a while. Whether it's a dream Honeymoon, bucket list anniversary trip or just a true break from adulting and parenting you want to ensure it meets the vibe you are looking for and is totally worth the investment. In St. Lucia Sandals has 3 different resorts that offer a different experience and vibe. Keep reading to see which one is right for you!

But before we dive into each resort, what it offers and who it is best for I wanted to take a moment and discuss what is included at all of the Sandals Resorts in St. Lucia

All Sandals Resorts include:

  • All restaurants at the resort. You won't find any up charges here! From casual to fine dining you will be sure to find something to match your craving.

  • Premium liquor. All drinks are included at Sandals resorts from margaritas, to local beer and wine you can enjoy your favourite drink at the pool, on the beach, at dinner and at many bars and lounges across the resorts.

  • Entertainment. All Sandals Resorts offer entertainment throughout the day and into the evening that appeal to a variety of moods. All activities are posted in the Sandals app so you wont miss a thing!

  • Scuba & Water sports. This is what really sets Sandals apart from other All Inclusive Resorts. From snorkelling and scuba trips, to kayaking, paddle boarding and even waterskiing and tubing all water sports are included at Sandals!

  • Airport Transfers. Once you land at your destination all you have to do is head to the Sandals lounge and you will be transported to your new home for the next few days. There are also private, helicopter and boat transfers available for an additional fee.

  • A king size bed. Yes there is only one bed at this inn and it makes it perfect for couples looking for a romantic trip away...oh and the beds are so very comfy!

  • All taxes & gratuities. Yup those are included in your fare too.

  • Wifi, just in case you want to post your amazing trip to Instagram or stay in touch with those you left behind (sorry kids!)

  • Resorts in St. Lucia also include green fees at their Cap Estate Golf & Country Club

  • Exchange privileges! I love being able to explore nearby resorts to open up for options for dining, and to get a change of scenery for a longer stay.

St. Lucia:

There are 3 Sandals Resorts in St. Lucia to choose from; Sandals Grande St. Lucia, Sandals Regency La Toc and Sandals Halcyon Beach Resort; and each one offers it's own vibe and experience.

St. Lucia is a lush and tropical Island in the Eastern Caribbean and is best known for their Pitons (two volcanic peaks rising from the sea). It's coast is home to volcanic beaches, reef diving sites and little fishing villages.

If you are visiting St. Lucia some common offsite excursions include; visiting the Pitons, taking a dip or enjoying a mud bath in the sulphur springs or visiting the botanical gardens.

Sandals Grande St. Lucian

The Vibe:

Sandals Grande St. Lucian offers a variety of experiences to match what you are looking for. It is a great resort for couples looking for a lively main pool with music, activities and a swim up bar, but it also has quieter pockets of space on the beach an at other quiet pools. So it is great for couples that like a mix of social and restful vacations.

The Food:

You won't go hungry here! There are 12 restaurants to choose from and include:

  • Bayside - an open air eatery open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is the buffet for breakfast and lunch with rotating daily themes (think Mexican, Italian, American etc). At dinner it turns into a French Brasserie serving French comfort food.

  • Toscanini's - A northern Italian restaurant in a cozy setting for dinner. This is also where you can enjoy an a la carte breakfast if you don't feel like the buffet.

  • Josephine's - Offering sweet and savoury crepes for lunch there are so many delicious options it's hard to choose!

  • Barefoot by the Sea - Open for dinner this is a relaxed seafood restaurant on the beach just steps away from the waters edge. Listen to the waves crashing as you enjoy a romantic dinner.

  • Olde London Pub - keep your happy hour vibes going all day long. Open for dinner and late night bites grab some yummy pub favourites and a pint.

  • Gordon's on the Pier - this restaurant is open for dinner and set right atop the Caribbean Sea. Enjoy the soft ocean breeze while enjoying flame grilled favourites.

  • Dino's Pizza - Because everyone loves pizza even on vacation. Enjoy homemade brick oven pizza for lunch on the beach...it honestly doesn't get better than that...especially because you get to choose the toppings and not what the kids want.

  • The Jerk Shack - Enjoy this Jamaican favourite in St. Lucia. Open for lunch enjoy Jerk chicken, pork or sausage and even a fish in foil.

  • The Mariner - A casual seaside dining this place is lunch with a view. Oh and they have loaded nachos so ya...

  • Bombay Club - Indian Restaurant, open for dinner. Enjoy their signature butter chicken or try something new.

  • Kimonos - A fun teppanyaki restaurant where the chef is the star of the show. Open for dinner.

  • Soy Sushi Bar - Did you say unlimited sushi? Yes, yes I did. If you love sushi be sure to add this one to your list. From rolls to sashimi get your fill before you roll out at the end.

Bonus - This Sandals also has a soft serve ice cream machine...because all vacations need ice cream!

The Beach:

Oh the beach. This is one of my favourite beaches I have been to. The water is calm, the sand is soft and the water is clear. Not to mention the view of the Pitons, and the sailboats and yachts in the bay it really is breathtaking! It is a longer beach which makes it great for those who enjoy long walks on the beach. The downside is it is a public beach but it is primarily used by Sandals guests.

The Rooms:

There are a variety of room types at this resort ranging from tropical and ocean views, swim up suites and luxury overwater bungalows that cater to a range of budgets. Some room categories also offer club level and butler amenities.

When booking this resort please keep in mind this resort faces both the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Caribbean sea on the other and has ocean view rooms on both sides. The views are NOT the same so be sure you double check which view it is that you want when picking your room so you aren't left feeling disappointed.

Other things to note:

  • This resort is the furthest from the airport so expect up to a 2 hour transfer. Or book a helicopter or ferry option for a unique experience!

Who this resort is best for:

  • Beach lovers who like calm, clear waters and soft sand

  • Couples who want a mix of a lively social environment and places to relax

  • Couples looking for luxury accommodations in an overwater bungalow

  • Foodies who are looking for a variety of dining options

  • Couples looking to be close to hiking at Pigeon Island National Park

Sandals Regency La Toc

ree

The Vibe:

Sandals Regency La Toc is often described as the most dramatic of the three St. Lucia properties and for good reason. Built into a lush hillside with epic sweeping views, it has a glamorous, old-Caribbean feel. This resort is great for couples who love a mix of romance, adventure, and a bit of exclusivity. The main pool is lively and social, but the resort also has quiet corners, hidden nooks, and an entire private “Sunset Bluff” enclave that feels like a boutique resort within a resort. If you want luxury and privacy with a side of impressive views, this one is sure to deliver.

The Food:

La Toc has 9 restaurants, and while it has fewer options than the Grande, the quality is fantastic and the settings are gorgeous.

  • The Pavilion – Open-air buffet for breakfast and lunch with lots of variety. Fresh fruit, omelette stations, themed dishes… it’s a solid and easy option.

  • Armandos – Italian cuisine for dinner with stunning hillside views. Think creamy pastas, delicious risottos, and a romantic atmosphere.

  • The Pitons – A Caribbean dining experience featuring local St. Lucian flavours like jerk, fresh fish, and tropical spices. A must try if you want authentic island cuisine.

  • La Toc Restaurant – Fine French dining in an elegant, candlelit setting (dinner only). This is the “dress up and have a date night” restaurant and perfect for celebrating something special.

  • Cricketers Pub – Open late, serving pub classics and comfort food. Grab a pint and some wings after a show or nighttime entertainment.

  • Kimonos – Teppanyaki with the classic singing chefs and interactive dining. Fun, lively, and great for meeting other couples.

  • Soy Sushi Bar – Sushi lovers this is for you! Think rolls, sashimi, and all the soy sauce you want.

  • Neptune’s – Mediterranean seafood, open-air, casual, perfect for lunch or a light dinner.

  • Bella Napoli Pizzeria – Fresh brick-oven pizza, customizable and delicious for lunch or a snack between pool time and beach time.

The Beach:

The beach at La Toc is beautiful with golden sand and lush cliffs on both sides, giving it a secluded vibe. The water here can be wavier because it’s on the Atlantic side, so it may not always be ideal for swimming like the Grande. But the setting is stunning, and the sound of waves crashing adds to the atmosphere. Beach walkers will enjoy it, but it’s shorter than the Grande St. Lucian’s long, calm bay.

The Rooms:

This resort shines when it comes to room variety. You’ll find everything from entry-level tropical rooms to hillside suites with private pools and jaw-dropping views. The Sunset Bluff area offers some of the most luxurious suites on the island, complete with butler service and a more secluded feel.

If views are important to you, this is the place to splurge, the cliffside rooms are truly special.

Other things to note:

Because the resort is built into a hillside, expect stairs and slopes. If mobility or walking long distances is a concern, this might not be the easiest resort to navigate. Resort shuttles help, but it’s still something to keep in mind.

Who this resort is best for:

  • Couples wanting a romantic, dramatic, cliffside setting

  • Guests looking for privacy and luxurious butler suites

  • Those who prefer a quieter, more spread-out resort

  • Couples celebrating a honeymoon, anniversary, or special occasion

  • Travelers who want access to golf (there’s a 9-hole course at the resort)

Sandals Halcyon Beach

ree

The Vibe:

Halcyon Beach is the quietest and most intimate Sandals resort in St. Lucia. It's perfect for couples who want a slower paced, relaxed, and super romantic vibe without a big-party atmosphere. Think lush gardens, quiet pools, gentle music, and a stretch of beach that feels uncrowded and serene. If you want that “escape from the world” feeling, Halcyon is the perfect vibe.

The Food:

Halcyon may be the smallest of the three, but it still has 6 great restaurants — and you can always shuttle to the other two resorts for more variety if you like.

  • Bayside – Buffet for breakfast and lunch, à la carte for dinner. Easy, convenient, and reliable with plenty of options.

  • Kelly’s Dockside – A romantic dinner restaurant literally over the water. Seafood, steaks, and warm ocean breezes make this a favourite.

  • Mario’s – Comforting Italian dishes in a cozy setting. Great for pasta lovers.

  • Soy Sushi Bar – If sushi is your love language, you’ll appreciate this quieter version of Soy.

  • The Jerk Shack – Authentic Caribbean jerk chicken, pork, and sausage served beachside. Perfect for a midday snack (or two…).

  • Cane Carib – Caribbean-inspired cuisine in a colourful, island-style space. Expect bold flavours and fresh ingredients.

The Beach:

Halcyon’s beach is lovely, peaceful, and lined with palm trees. The water is calm most days, and the shoreline feels natural and secluded. It’s not as long as the Grande’s beach and not as dramatic as La Toc’s cliffside views but it’s the perfect if your are looking for a lazy day beach vibe. If your dream vacation is reading under a palm tree with a drink in hand, this is your place.

The Rooms:

Halcyon is known for its charming, garden-filled layout with plenty of beachfront rooms and cozy cottage style accommodations. The highlight? The Crystal Lagoon Walkout Swim-up Rooms absolutely gorgeous and perfect if you want poolside tranquility. Most rooms are centrally located and easy to get to, and the resort is super walkable.

Other things to note:

This is the smallest Sandals on the island and has a very laid-back vibe. If you want nightlife, big entertainment, or a lively pool scene, you’ll be happier at the Grande or La Toc. But many couples love Halcyon because it feels like a quiet escape.

Who this resort is best for:

  • Couples wanting peace, quiet, and a slower pace

  • Guests who prefer a small, easy-to-navigate resort

  • Honeymooners looking for a romantic, garden-filled setting

  • Beach loungers who love calm days under the palms

  • Couples wanting the most relaxed vibe of all three Sandals
